The CubusTurbo by Howden utilises a permanent magnet motor and active magnetic bearing system to provide oil free frictionless operation. The active magnetic bearing system monitors the rotating shaft position up to 10,000 times per second to ensure a stable vibration free operation. The CubusTurbo by Howden utilises the Howden Dual Point Control system to provide the highest operating efficiency across the widest operating range ensuring that efficiency is optimised under ever-changing ambient conditions and plant demand.

SG series

Howden's SG range of turbo blowers and compressors provide high efficiency over a wide operating range. Our range of turbo blowers encompasses industrial type blowers used in the power, mining and water industries, while our turbo compressors are best suited for API specification type applications in the downstream oil and gas industry.

The SG range operates to a constant speed provided by a horizontally split gearbox that requires minimal maintenance and is encased within a compact package design.

SG series

HV-TURBO KA series

A single stage integrally geared turbo compressor that has an advanced mechanical and aerodynamical design and cutting edge control system. Each customised KA compressor is uniquely made to fit with a specific plant’s specifications thereby consuming significantly less energy.

Consistent high efficiency is achieved through Dual Point Control. The system enables a wider operational area allowing to adapt to fluctuations in the required air volume providing further significant energy savings.

HV-TURBO KA series

EGR series

The EGR compressor is a single stage direct driven turbo compressor with an asynchronous motor and a variable frequency drive. The EGR compressor is vital when it comes to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as the EGR compressor reduces the formation of Nitrogen Oxides in marine diesel engines, by up to 80%.

The EGR turbo-compressor is available in two sizes:

  • EGR-10, range from minimum 1.02 m3/s to maximum 3.60 m3/s
  • EGR-22, range from 1.80 m3/s to maximum 6.33 m3/s
